A Sonnet for Veronica
(who is leaving The OC)
In the mornings before all your clients came in,
We, two, walked upstairs to get water each day.
Armed with nourishment, the day about to begin,
Now ready for whatever problem came your way,
With cases piled on your desk, you still found room to smile,
And time to mess with Deidre and Nika, too.
With the two of those guys around you all the while,
It's a wonder you found time to work a case or two.
But now KMC needs you, and you answered the call,
Though it won't be the same without you around here.
Maybe you'll find something better behind those walls,
And teach those screeners to get their butts in gear.
Say hi to Ricardo and keep DJ in line,
Whatever happens, I am sure you'll do just fine.
